Introduction of adjustable side and cross steering tubes for the Phantom III to save expense.

See R.H.C. and get his agreement that this will Side and Cross Steering Tubes - Phantom III. save money Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} We send you herewith LeC.5356 and LeC.5357 showing respectively the outer end of the cross steering tube and the front end of the side steering tube on Phantom III provided with a means of adjustment. The ball joints in both cases remain unaltered except for the socket which now has to engage with the screw thread. The thread portion brazed to the tube is the same as that used for Phantom III, LeC.4349. We are told that adjustable side and cross steering tubes would save a lot of expenze in the Works.
