Engineer}24/KW.1.7.36., we have now completed our tests on Loc.4869, which is the scheme for moving the felt collar nearer to the control levers and can say that for complete immunity from rattles it is necessary to have 0.020 - 0.023 clearance between the fitting on the stationary control tube and the worm tube. The 10,000 miles test car 35-EX. is fitted with this increased clearance and is free from rattle. Will you please increase this clearance accordingly on production.
