The engine was fitted with standard Condor 3. induction pipes and given a half hours' final test.

This test was observed and passed as O.K. by the A.I.D. The test was as follows :-

25 mins. at 9/10ths. throttle = 585 HP. at 1900 r.p.m.
5 " " full throttle = 677 HP. corrected.

Silencers disconnected - engine gave max. power of 690 HP. 1900 r.p.m. (corrected).

Average oil consumption = 6 pts/ hr.
" petrol " = .548 pts/HP/hr. at 9/10ths. throttl
" " " = .54 " " " full throttle.

The supercharger was found to be in excellent condition when dismantled. The next time the engine is run with it fitted it is proposed to fit gauges at various points to measure the pressures.
