| To RHG. X262 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}17/KW.7.5.36. B-3 (High Power). We have returned this unit for thorough examination prior to starting 24 hours endurance in conjunction with the Le Mans race. In its present form B-3 is a replica of what B-21 will be. In addition to the replacement of any faulty parts, the following to be carried out :- (1) Strengthened Aerolite pistons and .003" oversize rings to be supplied by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Hths. and fitted. (2) Replace existing, by new connecting rod bolts. This is a very urgent job and we are anxious to get the unit back on test as quickly as possible to commence the endurance. Up to now the only running has been short bursts for power curves, etc. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/L.H.Swindall. | ||
