WAKEFIELD OILS.

We had a visit from Limb of the Wakefield Co. yesterday, and he explained to us that the C.W. oil now obtainable throughout England is of a thinner grade than it used to be, in fact, it has now the same viscosity as Mobil-oil "Arctic".

Owing to the number of bearing tests we are doing at the Works we are not in a position to try this new oil. We are wondering, therefore, if you would run it in some of your Trials cars. Wakefield's are sending 10 gallons to Lillie Hall marked for the attention of "Crawford". If you are will-ing to run it in your P.III cars, we shall be glad if you will give Crawford instructions to use it. At the moment it is recommended in the Instruction Book on the belief that it is thicker than it is. In view of this we should like to find out whether or not it causes any silting of the top filter.
