re. BOOMING OF BODIES.

With a view to correctly understanding the various
reports which have been received on booming of bodies, and the
apparent perfection of Bentley products, we would be glad if you
could give us a description of the coachwork as fitted to the cars
which have been tried by yourselves, that is to say, type of body-
4. or 6 seater - whether roof is fixed or not, and whether it
is panelled or fabric body, also whether the rear seats were in
front of the rear axle.

The writer is endeavouring to get a trial run in a
Bentley with a 6 seater Pullman limousine body on it so that the
tests may be comparable with those on our own car.

We are shortly publishing a thesis on booming from
all its aspects indicating experimental research which we suggest
could be carried out with advantage, and we shall attempt to
explain the apparent perfection of the Bentley, not with any
pre-conceived prejudice either for or against it.
