To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X217 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.7/KW.9.10.34. Bentley Narrow Bearing Crankshaft. With the narrow bearing crankshaft EX.14081 we are able to use a longer rear main bearing. At the same time we should like to increase the diameter of the journal, use a 4-bolt bearing cap and stiffen up the rear wall of the crankcase as in the 4-bearing engine. These modifications will provide an extra precaution against flywheel flutter and accordingly we should like you to build up an engine embodying them, in conjunction with the disc flywheel and clutch arrangement EX.15816. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1547 gives a scheme of the arrangement. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth. | ||
