We are circulating this so that any of the items may be discussed at the next technical conference. ENGINE. (1) Much larger and more accessible oil filling orifice. Yes. (2) Oil filter so placed that it can be removed for cleaning without the necessity of emptying the sump oil, and accessible from under the bonnet. Yes, Tecalemit element. (3) Engine oil drain plug accessible from under the bonnet. Yes, oil drain cock and handle. (4) More accessible and much larger engine water drain tap. We are dealing with this (5) More accessible oil relief valve unit. This is now as accessible as it is possible to make it. (6) Increased engine oil capacity and cooling. Yes, 2 1/2 gallons, and oil cooler fitted. (7) An improvement upon the present Hardy fabric coupling. Replaced by spring damped drive in clutch. (8) Automatic or centralised clutch thrust lubrication. Centralised lubrication if it is possible. (9) More silent tappets. Squeaks will be cured as an oil bath is provided hydraulic rocker fitted. | ||
