E.R. Hall Esq.,

LONDON, N.W.1.

Dear Hall,

I have been chasing up the new axle which is being made in America and find to my concern that they are being very slow, and it is just possible we shall not get the gears in time for the race. In case the worst happens we ought definitely to have some of the 6 1/2 x 19" tyres available which you used in the T.T. last year, as with the existing axle these would give us a very good ratio.

It is now almost certain that I shall not be back by Monday as I do not leave until to-night.

Yours sincerely,
