X.3421. RE BONNET LOCKS.

With reference to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}4/F15.3.20, it rather appears preferable to modify the design of bonnet shutter so that when these are shut they can only be opened from the inside. Thus when the owner locks up his bonnet he should also satisfy himself that the shutters are locked shut. A catch operated on the inside would effect this.
