Dr. c. to Ex. [crossed out] c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} <3421 AT EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}4/F15.3.20. A.T. [stamped] BONNET LOCKS. I notice that the old design of bonnet lock is still being fitted on to the present type bonnet with shutters. Has it been overlooked that these locks can be opened internally by inserting the hand through the shutters, which can be opened externally? It would appear that to overcome this trouble the lock nuts E.3206 should be cast solid, so that when the springs once drop into position, they can only be [handwritten insertion: 'is to be'] released by the key. Please let me know what action [handwritten insertion: 'has been'] was taken on cars now on test or despatched which have this fault. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
