3. 2/ near shock absorber bushes slack require renewing Rear axle very noisy at all speeds on forward and overrun. Front springing poor on rough roads, many rattles from front of chassis. Engine slow running upset more than the usual by Autovac operation. There appears to be an air leak in the Galometer instrument, this may probably increase the above effect. Gear box gears good; side shaft growls slightly, sounds like ball race. Rear wheel drives slightly slack. Car as a whole appears to be in very good condition considering the mileage done. WHEELS. There are a varied assortment of wheels fitted as follows. N.S.F. (E.S) Previous type to present standard. Five spokes broken, several loose and bent. O.S.F. (E.S) Previous type to present standard. Appears O.K. but will require checking. N.S.R. (E.S) Latest type. Appears O.K. O.S.R. (E.S) Latest type. 1 spoke broken. SPARES. 1) (E.S) Old standard type.
