re Phantom 2 Tank Engine.

We have now made two water flow tests through the Phantom engine to ascertain the pressures in different parts of the system.

We attach a blueprint shewing the pressures recorded.

It will be noticed that by increasing the size of the two water holes in the cylinder block that the water pressure in the breeches pipe is reduced from 7 lbs to 4 1/2 lbs.

A further experiment is in hand to find out the pressure registered by the Phantom water pump. When we get this figure we shall be able to estimate what to expect from our larger pump which has to be fitted to the Tank Engine.
