| Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x350 To EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c.c. E.H. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} SECRET. SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Marles Type Steering. The slight weep of oil from the top longitudinal joint on the R.R. Marles box which appeared on SpectreCodename for Phantom III has now appeared on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III Steering fitted to the 20/25. On SpectreCodename for Phantom III it was shown that if the fit of the worm roller bearings was attended to, the weep was cured. But there does not seem any objection to an extra bolt in the middle of the length of this joint, which would make the job easier. The boss can easily be added to the dies even if they are already finished, and we suggest that this should be done and send N.Sch.4563 herewith showing the additional bolt.
