Phantom 3 Cylinder Liner Distortion. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} has demonstrated that there is unequal cylinder liner distortion on No.1. cylinder "A" unit. The ribbing in the crankcase for this particular cylinder is different from the others, the snout of the cylinder liner being attached in three places instead of four. To correct this will you please forthwith instruct the pattern to be altered, treating the front pair of cylinders exactly like the rear pair, the depth of the small webs being level with the crankcase snout.
