RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} x8410 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MJ.1.2.30. PHANTOM II BUMP CHASSIS. x8410 We want to run a test on the bump of Phantom 1 front springs as soon as possible. We have no Phantom 1 bump chassis. We shall have to carry out the run on the Phantom 11. The only difference between the springs appears to be the length. Will you therefore please move the rear spring support on the bump chassis 1 3/8" forward to suit a Phantom 1 spring length. There will then be two alternative lengths in the frame so that we can run either spring as required. We should like to run this test as soon as possible. Will you also please fit the rear springs which it is proposed to fit on 23-EX to the rear of the bump chassis as we wish to exercise them and improve the bedding before they are run 10,000 miles.
