1204 To Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/RP. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH.8/SW.24.6.41. Phantom 111 - 3-DH{D. Henderson - Showroom}-7. Messrs. Inskips, New York. re 1st Motion Shaft Brgs. In reply to your memo reference Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/RP.3/IM.23.6.41., we have investigated this matter, and have come to the following conclusions. On all R & M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} bearings appear various numbers :- e.g., Brg. No. L.J.T.55 also carries the number 12.F.3.T The bearings required, according to our records are :- L.J.T 55 x 100 x 21 L.J.T 2 3/8 x 3 3/4 x 11/16 and we would suggest that you obtain these from stores and, on the side of the outer race, you will in all probability discover the numbers 55.L and 18 N.3.T, respectively as given to you by Messrs. Inskips. If, however, this is not the case, then we can only suggest taking out of stores all the bearings called for on the parts list G.85389, and treating these in a similar manner. We would make it quite clear that we are tentative in saying that the Bearing numbers quoted above are the ones you require. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. | ||
