409 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.18/KW.28.2.35. Supercharged Unit B-12. In the course of a day or two we shall be sending B-12 into the shop for you to fit the blower on the water pump side according to EX.17268. This will entail shortening the blower. Since we intend to try the blower in a chassis with the existing arrangement, we do not wish to cut it up just yet, and should like you to use the new supercharger casting at present lying in the shop for EX.17268. We should like the new camshaft EB.2258 fitting, with the following timing :- IO TDC EO 50° E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} EC 50°E EC TDC. We have now done about 30 hours P.T. on the engine and shall require new con. rod bolts. The oil pressure is lower than it should be and we would like you to investigate the cause. Possibly one of the supercharger bearings has failed. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth. | ||
