A.{Mr Adams} T. SPEEDOMETER CO., LTD. CONTINUATION. -2- Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., We shall see that every possible effort is used with regard to the further samples below mentioned, so that they will be available for Mr.West on or about the 25th August. BENTLEY SPORTS. 1. The return of the present Rev.Counter Multi Instrument, as brought back by the writer, but incorporating A.T. non-interfering Rev.Counter, complete Clock with Winder in position, and the Dial improvements as above-mentioned. 2. A.T.non-interfering Speedometer with Ammeter and Thermometer combined, and the latest large type Trip and Total. ROLLS ROYCE 40/50. 1. The combined patch of Electric Clock in the middle, and four instruments surrounding, details of which, presumably, Messrs.Dorer and Manwaring have in their possession. 2. A.T.non-interfering internally illuminated Rolls Speedo to match. LIGHT WEIGHT BENTLEY SPORTS INSTRUMENTS. We confirm your agreement that we may go ahead with the Tooling of these Instruments, in such a way as to cover all three types - Bentley Sports, 40/50 and 20/25. We understand that you may be able to O.K. the large type Trip in about one week. It is understood that the Tooling is to take care of the present type Speedometer Magnet, but we shall try to so arrange same that we can bring through the non-interference Magnet scheme with as little alteration as possible. In accordance with your instructions, we are completing the four sample instruments, i.e. Light Weight 20/25, Light Weight 40/50 and a further Bentley Speedometer and Rev.Clock, the latter to give the final Clock Winder position, and all Speedometers to have the latest large size mileage and Trip. 20/25 HP. The writer, on his return from Coventry yesterday afternoon, understands that you telephoned with regard to the Flex.Revs discussion that he had with you last Tuesday. It is, of course, clearly understood here that the mileage of the instruments is to be based on revs.838/840. It is only the question of the Dial reading that is to be based on the Schedule which you gave the writer, and which we note is slightly adjusted by yesterday's telephone instructions.
