We have had to dismantle the Change Speed Lever on 2I.G.IV. to ease the shaft as it was jamming very bad after using reverse.

The balls had again scored the shaft. We have found that the shaft G 57057 has been left unhardened. The inner housing sleeve is hard. There is no trouble with the tail bearing spindle and ball bearing.
