| - 12 - HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}1/VS.{J. Vickers}21.11.38. Propeller Shaft. Rear universal changed after 11,242 miles. Replacement covered 6,356 miles. Front Bump Buffers. Softer front bump buffers were substituted, the replacements covering 11,587 miles. Rear Springs. The near side spring centre bolt was removed, the replacement covering 11,301 miles. Hand Brake. The hand brake ratchet shield failed after 10,018 miles and was not replaced. Front Hubs. The off side hub outer bearing dried up after 7,768 miles and ran subsequently for 7,963 miles. Car Heater. Pipes reversed to stop gurgling and replaced by new pipes which covered 7,255 miles. Battery Box.
