X2677 I understand this is the American pump with canvas diaphragm. The chief objection would be that this diaphragm is not permanent enough. Probably falling off in delivery at high speed is due to long suction pipe, and perhaps no air vessel on suction. If such a pump was thoroughly reliable it would be good for fitting to Phantom at once. You will remember that I suggested a reducing gear, say 5/1, off camshaft, maximum speed about 300., with pull rod or rotary shaft to tank, so that no gland would be needed, and submerged plunger pump could be used.
