To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x201 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}14/KW.9.4.36. Bentley Front Axles. In order to economise in material will you please:- (1) Build up the Roller-toggles and steel shoes on to a new axle beam and fit them to 1-B-IV after Easter. (2) When this is done the new axle off 1-B-IV can be transferred to 5-B-IV. (3) The axle that has just come off 1-B-IV should be sent over to the Repair Dept. as it is without inspection to be built up into 4-B-IV. The axle off 5-B-IV will thus be out of commission and can be used by us for water excluder tests. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.F.Martindale. | ||
