P.III. CRANKSHAFT.

Herewith project sheet signed by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} for two crankshafts in .4 carbon steel. We should like to make the first of these to E.88364 Packard type crankshaft. We understand this type of crankshaft can be machined from the existing production forging, in which case it will merely be necessary to order one forging from the production dies in .4 carbon steel. We want to run this crankshaft in 39-EX. which will be leaving for France about the end of April.

Please note we are only asking at the moment for one of the two crankshafts for which we have permission. The second one will probably have wider bearings and will be instructed later. Please therefore return the Project Sheet to us.
