RE INSTRUCTION BOOK.

X 4617 P

In the Instruction Book matter for the new 40/50, we refer to the capacity of the battery as being from 65 to 75 ampere hours. I do not know quite how this came about unless it was taken from our General Specification which said "in the neighbourhood of 75, but certainly not less than 65". In the description of the electrical equipment for the EAC. 'V' Series Chassis, it is given as 75 ampere-hours.

to the D.O.

We have now for convenience suggested the following standardised capacity figures, namely 75 ampere-hours for the 40/50 and 50 ampere-hours for the 20 HP.

We should therefore give the 20 HP. capacity as 45 to 55, and the 40/50 capacity as 70 to 80, but I have had a request from Messrs. Peto & Radford to make this 75 to 80, and I have agreed to accede to their request.

Would you kindly therefore re-arrange the figures in your Instruction Book for the new 40/50 chassis to read 75 to 80 ampere-hours.
