(2) Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/EE7.8.29. This has to be done at present and is a laborious process. As things stand at present the loads can be altered in a few moments, but it takes hours to check the poundage. Attached are sketches of two possible tools for the purpose. We think that depots should be provided with a range of adjusting washers for the hydraulics as soon as possible after the cars are announced so that every facility will be available for getting the best out of the "S.S" suspension.
