Scrubbing tungsten contacts to LeC.2460 are we believe now standard, with the improved spring (non fracture- easily detachable). We have no record of the thickness of the spring and stress at requisite contact pressure = 1 1/4 lbs..

Further experiments are going forward to prove if there are any advantages in -

(1) Increased scrub.
(2) Offset rocker giving slightly quicker break than make.
(3) Distributor improvements - umbrella and non-tracking material (stabalite).

We are particularly anxious about (3) because (1) and (2) can only give us small improvement.

What is stopping English makers from making porcelain ignition plugs equal to Champion, as we understand these are superior to anything on aero engines - i.e. most trying conditions.
