Contd. -4- EH/LG26.2.19. They could not explain to one any reasons why the carburetter should give good results. They have never carried out any tests as far as I can find out to shew whether the mixture was uniform with various throttle openings at various speeds. So far they have not tried one of these carburetters on a R.R. Car but they have an old 700 type 40/50 chassis which they intend to fit one on to. Attached herewith is a sketch which gives a rough outline of the carburetter. It is very crude in every way. We do not think this carburetter would compare in any way with our own. By this we do not mean that our own carburetter is perfect but we do think that there are more possibilities of improving our own carburetter than there are of ever getting results which would satisfy us on the "Godward".
