W.C. Devereux, Esq.,
High Duty Alloys Ltd.,

SLOUGH, Bucks.

Dear Devereux,

Replying to your letter of January 18th, the present evidence is that the aluminium tin bearing alloy could be run satisfactorily on soft shafts as a big-end bearing. Big-end bearings are, of course, generally speaking, most heavily over-loaded, and, in consequence, this is the situation in which a high duty bearing alloy is likely to be in greatest demand. Howlett will tell you what progress he has made in this respect, as I do not know exactly where he has got to.

Yours sincerely,
