Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY/TWD.{T. W. D???Aeith} X7420. BY11/G.12.11.30. FRONT AXLE. RECEIVED 12 NOV 1930 A further experiment was instructed by us to overcome a complaint made by Mr. Hancock with regard to the small tube which acts as a metering device in the pivot pin for the Bijur oil supply. The detail drawings of this were issued under cover of BY/TWD{T. W. D???Aeith}5/E.3.10.30. We think this is possible, also a matter that requires following up to see that a definite decision is arrived at and the matter does not peter out through being overlooked. You will probably remember that Mr. Hancock's complaint was, the tube wore through and in some instances broke off. The above experiment has been instructed only for the 40/50 HP. chassis, but obviously would be made to apply to both 20 HP. and 40/50 HP. if it was passed as satisfactory. BY.{R.W.
