RE ROAD SPRINGS.

Please receive herewith 4 Experimental main plates (painted red) ex Messrs. Woodhead & Sons.

These are made from Silico-Manganese steel and have been heat treated to give a brinell of 363.

BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} suggests that these should be tested in parallel with the Silicon Chrome Main plates of the same brinell hardness which we handed to you a few days ago.
