40/50 CHASSIS. FRONT SPRINGS.

I have just received a note from Messrs. Woodhead in which they inform me that they have despatched four main plates with solid eyes which have been heat-treated to a lower brinell figure, and in addition have been made from Silico Manganese steel.

Messrs. Woodheads have got mixed up on two separate issues. I wish to have solid eye main plates made from their standard material in the lower brinell, and secondly, I intended to try Silico Manganese as used by Messrs. Woodheads and Messrs. Firths. In any case, these will represent useful information, and I would therefore like you to put them on the bumper as soon as they become available.

I have arranged for Mr Marriott to keep in touch with the O.O. and see that the plates in question are handed over to you as soon as they are received.
