For the attention of Mr. Kent.

Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter, together with Coil Housing and Armature.

I have handed these over to our Electrical Laboratory for calculations of induced voltage, and will let you know the results as soon as they are to hand.

As a matter of interest, we have fitted the single contact pump with latest type diaphragms to one of our Bentley cars. This was extremely noisy and remained so after a fairly fast run. We then dismantled the two units and fitted additional paper washers in the armature recesses, with the result that the noise was considerably reduced.

We will let you have further news of their behaviour at a later date.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
