The Chief Engineer,
Messrs. Vauxhall Motors Ltd.,
Luton,
Beds.

Dear Sirs,

The writer has been informed by our Mr. W.A.Robotham who visited your Works recently, that you are endeavouring to manufacture the Marles Double Tooth Steering gear under licence.

We are very interested in this question, as we have great difficulty in obtaining satisfactory parts from your neighbours at Luton, and we should be very much obliged if you could let us know when your efforts are successful.

It may interest you to know that we have made arrangements to have the roller follower of our steering gears made completely by Messrs. Ransome & Marles as we have found their product very much more satisfactory.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
