RE WHEELS AND TYRES.

With reference to the attached letter from Mr. Cowan, we think that the queries raised are things which you could deal with most effectively.

1. The question of fitting a mechanical tyre pump should not be allowed to influence the fitting of demountable rims and straight sided tyres. A mechanical tyre pump is desirable but it is not a necessity.

2. We recommend that until the Dunlop people can supply us with demountable rims with straight sided tyres, we should continue as we are doing.
It would mean absolutely re-building the wheel of an ordinary Dunlop tyre in order to fit demountable rims.
We do not see why R-R should be debited with that extra cost.
