RE BENTLEY STEERING - Ref:- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}11/W.29.11.37. We have investigated your complaint of loose anchorage of the Steering Box to the Frame, and find that the bolt K.456 is unsuitable and will not always tighten up. A new Bolt K.410 has recently been introduced to overcome this disability, by an increase of .135 in length of thread and in cases of slackness, preferably, the new bolt should be fitted, or the K.456 should be screwed down by .135.
