I have received a telegram from you today via Paris, but it has been so mutilated in transmission that I am having to guess what a good deal of it says re. the rear shock absorber.

There is no groove in the square shaft for the bolt to fit in and the present bolt has a small flat on it where it touches the square shaft. If possible I will put a small groove in shaft and turn the bolt round, it cannot turn itself when in position. If that does not appear a good job, will put in a larger diameter bolt, but am afraid that would weaken the lever.

I cannot say when I shall go to Paris to get the new parts and fit them.

X3504 I noticed today that one of the hinge jaws of the luggage grid has broken.

The slow running on magneto is not very good today but is good on battery ignition.
