X.1109 EFC, from By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By5-P26.8½2. ZX.16271 -RE PRODUCTION TESTING. X.1109. X1581. I am rather anxious to have some method of testing thoroughly the insulating materials which we receive from time to time at the works. For the paper insulation on the ignition coil we have no scheme for testing same. It appears to me that if we had a transformer which would give 250 to 1250 volts in stages, we should be able to try out quite a number of our insulating materials, in order to keep up the quality of same. In view of the above I would like you to give us particulars of the winding for a transformer with the above range, working from the 220 A.C. current which is available in the Works. BY.{R.W.
