Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Date 6. 1. 30. Page 3 and will be in production in our works in this country probably at the end of March. Meanwhile our supplies are coming from the King-Seeley Corporation. We are preparing a further two gauges, one 20/25 h.p. and one 40/50 h.p. which we should like exchanged for the two gauges which you already have, incorporating the packing gland at the top, but with Bakelite cemented glass tube holder at the bottom. If you would prefer to return these gauges to us, to save booking, we would alter them to the fused glass tube seal, and send them back to you for fitting on a car prior to this test. We shall be glad if you will kindly let us know what you wish us to do, as we now have small supplies of the new seal for test and experimental purposes. We have further supplies coming through, and if you give us permission to do so, we can change over right away. Assuring you at all times of our best attention, we remain, dear Sirs, Yours faithfully, H.M. HOBSON, Ltd., Joint Managing Director. P.S. The samples are dummies to illustrate the seal, but have been tested up to 100 lbs. per sq.in. pressure. | ||
