May 4th, 1920 Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, :For the attention of Mr. Fowler Clark: We are sending you to-day by passenger train, one Model 2D Dynamo number 1438. This machine is furnished with a "Skew" armature, and we think you will find that the magnetic hum has entirely disappeared. We are completing another machine and hope to let you have it within the course of the next few days. All the insulation on the commutator end plate is of Mica, this cutting out any danger of the insulation absorbing moisture or perishing. We shall await with interest the results of your test on this machine, and assure you of our best attention at all times. Yours faithfully, Archibald G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Lock p.p. S. SMITH & SONS (M.A.) LTD. | ||
