EFC. 9.1.25. WA.{Mr Wallis}102. WATFORD RO{C. C. Rose - Export Manager}1 MAGNETO No,68302 -- EXC CHASSIS GAK.77. JACKSON. This magneto has now been tested and was found to be O.K. It was firstput through the production test as per our specification, the low speed sparking being as follows:- Fully advanced 350 r.p.m. Central 220 r.p.m. Fully retarded 162 r.p.m. An endurance test was then carried out consisting of an 8 hour run at 2000 r.p.m. lever central, and the H.T. discharging at 4.5 mm. gap. Throughout the whole of this run the H.T. sparking was regular and the magneto exhibited no suspicion of failure. We cannot understand why the magneto should fail so abruptly as reported by the customer, it is most another case of faulty timing. EFC/HEW. | ||
