by us except the Layrub joint ring and propeller shaft tube which Messrs. Laycock Engineering Co. Sheffield. will provide. They will also build up the shaft, i.e. do the welding and balance the shaft.

We are sending a print of this drawing to Messrs. Laycock but do not think that any alterations will be asked for as the matter has already been discussed at some length.

Will you kindly note that the Experimental Department desire to fit this joint to the next 10,000 mile Bentley which we understand is to leave for France in a few weeks.

We should be glad if you would take over this matter from us and deal direct with Messrs. Laycock, Sheffield. regarding the manufacture.

The question of the cost of the parts we require has not yet been discussed.

The information gained from the test of this joint may be of value to us on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III and Wraith, at all events for the clutch shaft.

We attach the last letter received from Messrs. Laycock on this subject but it should be noted that the remarks therein refer to a type of joint now discarded for our particular purpose.
