Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} X.5310 Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}14/T16.1.28 re EAC-10 etc. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M11.1.28 returned herewith. It is our practice with 20HP Chassis to take down gear boxes without removing the engine. This is necessary where attention to the gears is necessary, as the box has to be returned to the works, and also when attention to the clutch is required. We should much prefer the gear box to be easily removable and do not want to have to remove the whole unit. The time required to remove a 20HP Unit is four times that required to remove the gear box only. Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} [signature] | ||
