R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M23.12.25. STARTING HANDLE. X8270 Referring to BJ7/H171225., which you have sent on to us, we have recently discussed this matter with Mr. Royce, who would not allow us to do anything at that time, but told us to ask Derby to find a suitable position for the starting handle, preferably under the back seat, or if not, attached to the dashboard. In view however of the Sales attitude we will endeavour to raise the matter again soon froma somewhat different point of view. Mr. Royce's attitude was that no preliminary swinging of the engine should be necessary, and that if the electric starter was not adequate at present it should be made so.
