Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of February 11th, I have carefully noted your remarks and suggestions and have arranged that all future sets delivered to you will be supplied with the tone control as the sample already submitted. I was very pleased indeed to hear that you were satisfied with the reliability of our unit and quite appreciate the criticism it has received from weight and bulk. I am very pleased to state that we are seriously going ahead with a completely new design which will be in the form of a one-piece unit and will be much smaller and also less in weight than our present set. As soon as we have further information on this unit I will approach you direct with a view to obtaining your opinion and criticism. In the meantime will you treat this matter as very confidential as should rumours of a new model leak out it will seriously prejudice the sales of our current line. With reference to fixing by jiffy plates, I see no difficulty in arranging a single fixing jiffy plate for the new model and we will definitely bear this in mind when designing.
