Dear Sirs,

We are writing to you concerning the adjusting bellows for petrol filler tube, about which you have already had some correspondence with our order office (your references WMH/GN.11.12.35. and WMH/GN.9.12.35.)

The primary duty of this bellows is to take up a position suited to the body of the car in question without a great deal of fitting or bending being required. As far as the running which we have done on cars shows, flexibility once the filler is fitted is of secondary importance.

We have tested a type of bellows exactly similar to the one which we send you herewith and this has not fractured or given any trouble in service. We think however that your bellows would be a preferable job if the price were not prohibitive, 10/- as against 3/6 for the sample bellows which we are sending you, quoted us by Messrs. Cornercroft.

We note that in your letter of Dec. 9th, you quote the price of bellows alone as 7/3, but with sheet metal flanges etc. at 11/- (subsequently reduced to 10/-). The writer is not quite clear why it is necessary to fit sheet metal flanges etc. These do not appear to be specified on drawing FB.2205. Presumably when the bellows
