Modifications to a car's radiator, bodywork, and chassis.

depth of radiator top tank now suggested by us but it is wanted for connections at the back and for carrying extra water and for room for separating steam from the water. We consider the higher radiator and narrower radiator looks less like the 40/50 but it is possible that a modified 40/50 will be more to these dimensions. We are sure you will like the appearance of the car better when it has a proper valance as fitted to No.4.Goshawk & the number plates fixed centrally below the front and back cross tubes. The removal of the front nameplate to below the radiator (done here) should favour cooling, and we think adds considerably to the appearance.

Some difficulties were experienced in getting the temporary bonnet in the right position and we believe that in London this could not have been shewn to advantage.

We have nothing to do with the errors of the windscreen, the joints of the 2 halves of which appear to us to be at least 3" too high even with the raised seat.

Mr. Evernden is sending drawings of the suggestions referred to in this memo.

Mr. Stent is sending instructions to Derby with reference to reducing the heavy pressure required for clutch pedal.

The car is sent back to Derby for improvements.

A new limousine experimental body might be put in hand embodying a scuttle suitable for the higher radiator, with proper floorboards and seat, and the modifications to the back of the driver's seat so as to avoid the hard rail, fitting a better valance, the RR. type of mudguard supports, and lamps and wiring system.

All this should be fitted to a new chassis.
