(2) (4) FLOORBOARDS. The floorboards were found to be at least ¾" too high. These we lowered temporarily which gave the pedals a more comfortable feeling, because they were higher up the foot (more power.) (5) SEATING. The driver's seat is O.K. with packing which we modified by lowering until 9" under the steering wheel. 8" is insufficient when the driver is wearing a winter overcoat. The driving space and the seating accommodation is quite satisfactory for a man up to 6' high - giants cannot be catered for in this chassis as a 6 seater. (Seating now comfortable and excellent except for luxurious owner driver.) (6) CLUTCH PEDAL. The pressure required is great because ferodo does not give the coefficient friction stated by the Ferodo Co. We are altering the leverage so as to reduce this to about 50% to 60% at present required. (7) BODY SPACE. Agreed that the body is not too large and suggest no alterations to limits. Messrs E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} have suggested a slight modification to the back of the driver's seat which does not reduce the room inside the body and yet provides a more comfortable back to the front seat, (avoiding hard rail and sloping slightly.) (8) HIGHER RADIATOR. It is universally thought that the extra height is an advantage in appearance, and for the fan and pipe connections, and louvres, it is much better. (10) TANK. We regret from an appearance point of view the extra | ||
