REDUCTION OF TOOLS CARRIED ON CARS.

Replying to H17/LN1.5.23. We notice that you provide for a large adjustable spanner in the kit carried on the car. This is not provided in the Phantom kit now issued to customers and we do not think such an addition advisable, the tool being both heavy and clumsy.
We do not know of any occasion a customer would have for the use of gas pliers on the road, and the use of the oil gun should only be necessary in the garage.
We agree it is necessary to carry a tyre pump to keep the tyres up to the correct pressure.
We cannot see much use in supplying valve apparatus to customers with the exception of the springs.
We should say that the rare replacement of valves is a Workshop job demanding facing tools etc., and we see no reason why a valve should fail any more than any other part of the car.
We think a valve spring should be carried and also a valve spring removal tool.
Our other remarks will be found in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gy2/LG
