-2- whilst at the Coachbuilders. They do not work loose on 10,000 mile tests, nor have they worked loose on the Bumper Chassis. Exhaust System. The nut of the bolt holding the snout was on its last thread. Also a similar bolt on the rear silencer bracket. Owner complained of rattles. The latest scheme for locking these bolts should be fitted to all cars. Springing. The complaint was hard riding, with too much pitching. Clutch. The Owner thought the clutch was on the fierce side owing to the fact that the transmission slackness caused a clatter. This is more or less on all the cars and is amplified when the clutch is engaged very slowly. By letting in the clutch quicker and still retaining a smooth engagement the above complaint is not shown up. Carburetters. Not the Owner's Complaint. We found the float chambers very loose, the nut holding same to Carburetter Body having worked loose. (Sgd.) G.W.Hancock. | ||
